OUR CLUSTER GROUP
Do you know what our cluster group is and what it enables you to do?
Our cluster group consists of seven u3as all in the local area, they are all listed below and on our web site.
What this means is that you are able to join any of their groups as long as there is space. Again, you only have to look at their web sites to find out what groups they are running and who to contact. You do not have to join these u3Aas, but you will be asked to show your membership card or number and have your emergency contact recorded. There are already some long standing joint groups with Maldon u3a which in future will be called cluster groups. There are many currently running such as table tennis and tai chi to name a few.
Well, what are you waiting for, there are so many different groups available.

This page is being created on this site, and similar pages will be created on the other CLUSTER GROUP sites to provide a one stop shop for anyone looking at the Blackwater Site to see what our neighbouring cluster group u3a are doing.
The cluster group is a local arrangement between a number of u3as in the area :
BLACKWATER You are in the Blackwater site at present please use the tabs to navigate around the site.
Links are provided to each of our neighbouring U3A cluster group members web sites, please click on the U3A name to follow the link if you wish to explore their activities..
In essence it has been agreed that Members of any one of the listed u3as will be welcome to join any groups run by the other cluster member subject to there being space in the group/trip. Initially preference will be given to members of the cluster group running the event, but when space permits members of the other cluster groups will be welcome to join.
We have been involved with a variety of 'joint' groups e.g. Astronomy, Ten Pin Bowling, Scottish Country Dancing to name a few. Others of our members take part in some of the other groups’ activities such as Maritime, Crib, Photoshoppery and more.
IT MUST BE STRESSED THAT ONCE ACCEPTED INTO A GROUP NOBODY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IF A LOCAL MEMBER WISHES TO JOIN AT LATER DATE.
This does NOT apply to the various groups’ monthly meetings although one or two visits may be made by prior arrangement, any more than that and the member will be expected to join that group as well.
